Root Canals

A root canal is a dental treatment used treat a tooth that is severely decayed or infected. During a root canal procedure, the dentist removes the infected or damaged pulp from the tooth, cleans and disinfects, and then seals it with a biocompatible material. Symptoms of a tooth needing a root canal include severe pain, sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures, swelling, and/or an abscess. If left untreated, the infection can spread to other areas of the body, leading to serious health complications. Following the procedure, the tooth will be restored with a filling or crown to protect it and restore its function.

Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene practices are essential to maintain the health of the treated tooth and prevent future dental problems.
