Fillings

Fillings serve to halt the progression of tooth decay or fix cosmetic damage, playing a crucial role in maintaining your dental health. Our dentists remove any decay before placing the filling, using local anesthesia for optimal patient comfort. In addition, we offer nitrous gas for those with mild to moderate anxiety. We do not use amalgam fillings in this office.

Composite Resin

Composite resin fillings are the most aesthetically pleasing option as they can be customized in color. They are suitable for repairing chipped or cracked teeth, filling gaps, correcting dental discoloration, protecting tooth roots, or changing the shape of teeth. They're also bonded to teeth in layers and require less natural tooth drilling, making them a popular choice for cavity fillings.

Glass Ionomers

Glass ionomer fillings are long-lasting and release fluoride to prevent tooth decay. They bond well to teeth and are less sensitive to moisture, making them suitable for tricky areas. While they may not look as natural as composite fillings, they provide a durable option for certain dental situations, like primary teeth or cavities near the gum line. Your dentist can help you decide if they're right for you.
